WoW! This year’s festival is shaping up to be GR8! We have already announced 3D specialist TRACY LEE STUM.

sabrinazart_1470288518_280NOW We have another exciting update!! We will be welcoming a very special guest from out of town! The powerful Artist Sabrina Zarco.sabrinazkey

Sabrina is an award-winning, Autistic, Chicana, queer femme, multi-media artist, activist, poet, cultural worker and community educator.

Right up our HWY! Sabrina’s ART speaks to us loudly.  It speaks to equality and inclusion in amazing visuals, textures and emotions. All of your synapses will snap when you take a walk through her amazing webpages!

Her heart and talent combine to create art like no other. The ingredients Sabrina adds to her work proves she is cooking with the full flavor of a healthy and loving soul.  Conjuring these artistic expressions from an amazing and ancient place. (where ALL of the best art comes from by the way!)

Rod Tryon…Tries on The AutismHWY Chalk Fest!

WOW….this IS powerful good news. heart3 Rod Tryon will be joining us next month on April 9th here in Covina! We are so honored by ALL of the immense talents shared with us each and every year, and it just keeps getting better!! Rod is one of those Artist’s whose work just commands attention. His art is something fantastic to see, no wonder he has traveled the world with his trusty chalk! We are  honored that he will share his valuable time and talent with us this year in Covina , California at our 6th annual event.  Lucky US! The Artist’s that ‘paint street’ are a whole other breed of animal and I am soO glad that OUR Autistic Artist’s will be mingling all day with greatness while witnessing first hand techniques that WILL astound.

It IS so important for Artist’s to share their process when they can! Those of us always looking for tricks can learn so much being in the presence of these talented masters. It’s such a magical thing to see. A blotch of concrete transformed into almost anything one can imagine…and sometimes things one just can’t!!

I was lucky enough to meet Rod at last fall’s Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival as he created THIS masterpiece…
